So before planning your next Hawaii vacation, follow these tips and you may just have an encounter unforgettable whale!

1. Plan your trip during the Month Peak

Humpback whales begin arriving in Hawaii in November and returned to Alaska in late May. If you have been planning this for a Hawaiian vacation, you should have no problem spotting whales. However, the peak whale watching season occurs in Hawaii in February and March. So, if you have not made your travel arrangements yet, shoot for this month.

2. Visit Islands Known For Whale Watching

Maui, Kauai and the Big Island is the most popular islands for Hawaii whale watching, so plan to visit one of the islands on your vacation. If you visit Oahu, you can see whales there; too, they just will not be as plentiful.

3. Plan a Boat Tour

Hawaii whale watching tours are ideal for seeing these spectacular animals in their natural habitat. Not only will you be in the environment of the pope, but because the pope wanted to know about their hunched around it, they sometimes approach your boat.
