Greece is situated in South-eastern Europe, positioned on the southern end of the Balkan Peninsula. The country lies at the meeting point of Europe, Asia and Africa. It is heir to the heritages of ancient Greece, the Roman and Byzantine Empire, and nearly four centuries of Ottoman rule. Greece is considered as the birthplace of democracy, Western philosophical thought, the Olympic Games, Western literature, political science, major scientific and mathematic principles, and Western theatrical drama including both tragedy and comedy. A Tourist Guide To PugliaPuglia is a region located on the east coast of southern Italy. This is often known as a heel because he saw the Italian Air resemblance to knee-high boot. Many of the last rulers of years ago have used this area for the location of the bases to try and control both the Adriatic and Ionian seas. These days it is a popular tourist destination because of the beautiful coastline and scenery. Flying is the best option to get there as the three airports (Bari-Palese, Brindisi and Foggia). Both rail and road network allows for frequent rail and bus travel. If you arrive from Greece then ferry to Bari and Brindisi is a good choice. Puglia is a large area and so many choices of accommodation.
